Lionel Charvin
Lionel Charvin, a 54-year-old midwife, has been in the news for facing a second trial for multiple rapes of his patients, having previously been convicted in March 2021 for similar offenses involving abuse of authority. His actions included inappropriate sexual conduct masquerading as medical procedures, which led to a number of women coming forward with allegations of sexual assault that occurred between 2010 and 2016 in Montpellier. Charvin is currently facing up to 20 years in prison, with the verdict expected soon.
