Liu Jipiao

Liu Jipiao was a notable Chinese artist and designer, born in 1901 in Xingning, Guangdong. He studied painting in France and later shifted his focus to architecture at the École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris. A pivotal figure in the synthesis of Eastern and Western design, Liu made significant contributions to book cover design and decoration during the early 20th century, creating works that blended traditional Chinese motifs with modern artistic expressions.
