Vaineikis was notable for organizing secret gatherings and was instrumental in staging the first Lithuanian theatrical performance. His underground work included writing articles for banned Lithuanian publications and facilitating the distribution of prohibited books. After facing imprisonment for his activities against the Tsarist regime, he was exiled to Yakutia but returned to Lithuania after the lifting of censorship. Later, he served as a teacher and eventually became the deputy mayor of Palanga. Vaineikis's legacy is commemorated in Palanga, where he is affectionately remembered as the town's doctor and a dedicated advocate for Lithuanian heritage.
