Livia Tampellini

Livia Tampellini is a medical professional and the deputy head of emergencies for Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF). She has been actively involved in providing humanitarian assistance in conflict zones, particularly in Sudan, where she has been vocal about the critical health needs of civilians affected by violence. Recently, she highlighted the dire situation in El-Fasher, where many survivors of the ongoing conflict arrive in urgent need of medical care, citing a lack of basic healthcare services and the overwhelming number of casualties and wounded individuals.
