Liz Cáceres

Liz Cáceres is the president of the Asociación de Pacientes con Cáncer y Familiares del IPS, a patient advocacy group in Paraguay. Recently, she criticized President Santiago Peña for neglecting the urgent needs of cancer patients during his management report, highlighting the chronic shortages of essential medications and supplies at the Instituto de Previsión Social (IPS). Cáceres has been vocal about the challenges faced by patients who, despite their contributions to the healthcare system, struggle to access necessary treatments.
