
Ljubomir Borovčanin
Ljubomir Borovčanin is a former commander of the Special Police of the Republika Srpska, known for his involvement in the Bosnian War and subsequent war crimes. In 2002, he was indicted by the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) for his actions during the conflict, particularly related to the Srebrenica massacre. He voluntarily surrendered to the ICTY in 2005 and was sentenced to 17 years in prison in 2010. After serving two-thirds of his sentence, he was released in August 2016.
