Lo Chengyu is a 20-year-old Chinese national from Zhejiang Province who has been identified as the hacker behind a significant cyberattack on MacKay Memorial Hospital in Taiwan. Operating under the pseudonym 'Crazyhunter,' Lo attempted to extort the hospital for a ransom of $100,000 and subsequently tried to sell the personal information of approximately 16.6 million patients after the ransom demand was refused. He is now wanted by Taiwanese authorities for multiple criminal offenses, marking him as the first Chinese hacker identified in connection with cybercrimes against Taiwanese institutions.
