At just 26 years old, Lokie Vanstaden has transformed her childhood passion for fashion into a thriving business, Lokieden Creations. Growing up, she repurposed materials around her home to create clothing and jewelry, showcasing her creativity and resourcefulness. After receiving a sewing machine in 2019, she began dressing her family, and during the COVID-19 pandemic, she seized the opportunity to make face masks, which propelled her into the fashion business. As a Miss Botswana 2024 Top 10 finalist, she has gained recognition for her work and aims to empower others through her brand, emphasizing social impact alongside her business goals. Her vision includes opening a fashion house in her hometown and launching initiatives to teach sewing skills to women and girls facing challenges.
