Lola Hassid Angel

Lola Hassid Angel, an 88-year-old Holocaust survivor, is one of the last witnesses of the atrocities committed at Bergen-Belsen concentration camp. Born in Greece, she was forcibly evacuated to the camp at a young age, where she witnessed unimaginable horrors. Now a great-great-grandmother, Lola has dedicated her later years to sharing her experiences, emphasizing the importance of remembering the past to prevent future atrocities. As the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Bergen-Belsen approaches, she feels a renewed urgency to recount her story, reminding the world of the dark chapters of history that must not be forgotten.
