Long Van Nghia

Long Van Nghia, 47, is an innovative aquaculture farmer from Bac Lieu, Vietnam, who has spent over a decade developing a high-tech shrimp farming model that is both labor-efficient and environmentally friendly, yielding annual profits of 6-7 billion VND. His family's 20-hectare shrimp farm has become a popular site for study and inspiration among researchers and farmers nationwide. With a background in traditional farming, Nghia transitioned to shrimp farming in 1997, overcoming early setbacks and gaining formal education in aquaculture. He has since pioneered advanced techniques such as biofloc systems and vertical farming, significantly increasing shrimp yield and sustainability, while maintaining strong market connections for his products.
