Lord Louis Mountbatten

Lord Louis Mountbatten was a British statesman and naval officer, known for his role as the last Viceroy of India and his close ties to the British royal family; he was assassinated by the IRA in 1979 when a bomb exploded on his fishing boat, which also claimed the lives of two family members and a young boy.
