Louis-Napoléon Bonaparte, later known as Napoleon III, was the first President of France and later the Emperor of the French, serving from 1852 to 1870. He is best known for his ambitious urban planning projects in Paris, including the redesign of the city under the guidance of Georges-Eugène Haussmann.
