Lourdes Huanca

Lourdes Huanca is the president of the Federación Nacional de Mujeres Campesinas, Artesanas, Indígenas, Nativas y Asalariadas del Perú (Fenmucarinap), an organization that advocates for the rights of indigenous and rural women in Peru. Recently, she was in the news for expressing concerns about the Peruvian government's proposed modifications to the Law N° 27692, warning that these changes threaten the rights and territories of indigenous peoples while undermining their organizations and access to justice.
