Lourdes Sosa

Lourdes Sosa is an engineer and the head of a team at the Instituto Nacional de Tecnología y Normalización (INTN) in Paraguay. She made headlines after being physically assaulted by lawyer Walter Acosta while conducting an inspection at a gas station in Tavapy, where irregularities in fuel measurements were detected. Sosa reported being pushed and slapped during the incident, which was exacerbated by Acosta's aggressive behavior towards her and her colleagues. Despite the violence faced, she remains determined to seek justice and hold Acosta accountable, stating that she has the support of her institution and family.
