Lovisa Ringborg

Lovisa Ringborg is a Swedish artist born in 1979, currently residing in Stockholm. She is known for her enigmatic installations that blend photography and sculpture, often exploring themes of control, the subconscious, and the interplay between the familiar and the unknown. After completing her master's degree in photography at Fotohögskolan in Gothenburg in 2008, she gained recognition for her evocative works that invite viewers into dreamlike or nightmarish realms. Ringborg's recent exhibition, 'Blindgångare,' at Norrtälje konsthall features around twenty new pieces, including sculptures and photographs that reflect on feelings of anxiety and uncertainty in contemporary society. Her art frequently draws inspiration from her childhood experiences and the transformative nature of memory, and she has exhibited widely, including venues such as the Shanghai Art Bund Center and Nationalmuseum in Sweden.
