Lucía Sandoval Escobar

Lucía Sandoval Escobar is a Paraguayan lawyer and a prominent advocate against judicial errors and violence against women. She gained national attention after being wrongfully imprisoned for over three years for the alleged homicide of her husband, Huber Martínez, before being declared innocent in 2014. In a landmark ruling, the Paraguayan state was ordered to pay her compensation for damages resulting from the judicial error.
