Known as the 'great lady of Romanian theater,' she established a private theater company in 1914 and later became the director of the Municipal Theater in Bucharest, which is now named after her. Bulandra was influential in shaping the careers of many actors in Romania. She passed away on September 19, 1961, after a tragic accident.
