Luciano Murrieta

Luciano Murrieta (1822-1911) was a Peruvian entrepreneur and winemaker who became a pivotal figure in the Spanish wine industry, known as the father of Rioja wine. After being exiled to London, he returned to Spain and established the first successful winery in La Rioja, producing high-quality wines that garnered international acclaim.
