Lucrezia Buti
Lucrezia Buti was a Florentine nun and the muse of the famous painter Filippo Lippi. Known for her angelic beauty, she became the subject of some of Lippi's most celebrated works, including representations of the Virgin Mary. Their romance, which led to a scandal that involved the Medici family and the Pope, resulted in her leaving the convent to marry Lippi.
