Ludovico Sforza
Ludovico Sforza, also known as Ludovico il Moro, was the Duke of Milan from 1494 to 1498 and a significant patron of the arts during the Renaissance. He commissioned notable works from Leonardo da Vinci, including the famous painting in the Sala delle Asse at Sforza Castle. Historical accounts suggest that Sforza constructed secret tunnels to maintain access to the Basilica of Santa Maria delle Grazie, where his wife was buried.
