Luis Acosta Moreta, also known as 'El Gallo', is the president of the Unión Demócrata Cristiana (UDC) party in the Dominican Republic. He has recently been in the news for expressing concerns that the Constitutional Tribunal's ruling regarding independent candidacies could lead to the destruction of political parties in the country.
