Luis Alberto Campaín

Luis Alberto Campaín, born on November 10, 1910, in Esmeraldas, Ecuador, served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was part of the 460th Anti-Aircraft Artillery Battalion, providing crucial air defense during the Normandy invasion. Diagnosed with Raynaud's syndrome during service, he recovered and continued to contribute until the war's end. Afterward, he chose to remain in the U.S., living until his death in 2002, and was buried with military honors.
