Luis Alberto Vázquez Maison

Luis Alberto Vázquez Maison is a mathematician and professor at UNAM, where he teaches Numerical Analysis and Advanced Programming. Over the past five years, he has dedicated himself to repairing computers and providing them to students in need, a project inspired by the pandemic and initiated by his colleague Jaime Vázquez. From 2022 to 2025, he has successfully delivered 250 refurbished computers to students across various faculties, demonstrating a strong commitment to educational equity. Along with his colleagues Maricela and Luis Enrique, Vázquez Maison continues this initiative to support students who lack access to personal computers, often funding repairs out of his own pocket.
