Luis Figari
Luis Figari is the founder of the Sodalicio de Vida Cristiana, a Catholic religious organization established in 1971. He served as its Superior General for nearly 40 years until his resignation in 2010. Figari has been accused of perpetrating and concealing various forms of abuse, including psychological, physical, and sexual abuse, which have been documented in multiple investigations and reports, including a significant one from 2017 recognizing abuses against minors and adults. Following a decree from Pope Francis in January 2024, Figari and other high-ranking members were expelled from the organization, leading to the dissolution of the Sodalicio due to the extensive history of abuse allegations.
