
Luís Quintais
Luís Quintais is a Portuguese poet, anthropologist, and essayist born in 1968 in Angola. He teaches at the Department of Anthropology at the University of Coimbra and has published several notable poetry collections, including 'A Imprecisa Melancolia' and 'Lamento'. Quintais is recognized for his unique poetic style that challenges conventional aesthetics, which was highlighted when he won the PEN Award for Poetry in 2025 for his work 'Nocturama'.
