Luisa Fernanda Ledesma Alpízar

Luisa Fernanda Ledesma Alpízar is a Mexican politician and member of the Movimiento Ciudadana party. She is known for her advocacy on animal rights and welfare, recently playing a key role in the approval of a decree by the Congress of Mexico City to declare April 12 as 'Día de los Seres Sintientes' (Day of Sentient Beings) to promote the protection and recognition of animals as sentient beings capable of feeling emotions and pain.
