
Luther Martin
Luther Martin (1748-1826) was an American lawyer and politician, best known for his role as a delegate at the Constitutional Convention of 1787. A staunch advocate for states' rights and one of the foremost opponents of the Constitution, he represented Maryland and later played a significant role in the establishment of the Anti-Federalist movement. His legal career was marked by his defense of various high-profile cases, including that of Aaron Burr.
