Luz Elena Castillo Sequeira, known as La Nica de Hierro, was a renowned ultramarathon runner from Costa Rica who gained acclaim for her extraordinary endurance and determination in long-distance races. Born in 1987, she was raised in Nicaragua where she pursued a degree in Systems Engineering. She made headlines by conquering 10 volcanoes in just 10 days and participated in numerous endurance events across Central America and beyond.
