Luz Jaimes Miranda

Luz Jaimes Miranda is a passionate Mexican filmmaker, screenwriter, and producer dedicated to telling compelling stories through cinema. With a rich background in academia, she has taught at various universities in Mexico for over 18 years while also working in journalism across radio, television, and print media. Her notable works include the acclaimed short films 'Mariquita quita' and 'Y si Adelita...', the latter of which explores the violence against women during the Mexican Revolution. Throughout her career, Jaimes has faced challenges in a male-dominated industry but remains resolute in her mission to give voice to women's narratives. As she prepares to turn 'Y si Adelita...' into a feature film, Jaimes continues to advocate for social and gender issues through her art.
