Lydia Albanou

Lydia Albanou is a biologist and the head of the Halastra branch of the Central Macedonia Protected Areas Management Unit. She has been actively involved in the conservation of protected areas in Greece, particularly focusing on the wetlands and wildlife in the Axios-Loudias-Aliakmonas National Park. Recently, she highlighted environmental concerns regarding illegal dumping in the wetland of Korinos in Pieria, emphasizing the ongoing issues caused by improper urban development and the need for stricter protective measures.
