Lyn Barker

Lyn Barker is a retired midwife who has been battling a severe superbug infection known as Carbapenem-resistant Gram-negative bacteria (CR-GNB) for the past two years. Her ordeal began with a small callus on her foot that developed into a painful wound requiring intensive treatment with intravenous antibiotics, which were only available at The Alfred Hospital. Despite facing the threat of amputation and suffering from toxic side effects during her treatment, Barker has shown remarkable resilience and determination in her fight against the infection.
