Lyuba Yakymchuk

Lyuba Yakymchuk (Любов Якимчук, born 1985) is a contemporary Ukrainian poet and author of two poetry collections, known for her poignant reflections on life in the war-torn region of Donbas. Raised in Pervomaisk, Luhansk Oblast, she has witnessed the impacts of conflict on her homeland, and her works, including 'Donbas Apricots,' explore themes of loss, identity, and the human condition amid devastation. Yakymchuk is also a screenwriter and has collaborated with musicians on various projects, earning recognition for her unique voice and literary contributions.
