Ma Jabou Ceesay

Ma Jabou Ceesay is a project coordinator and associate at the Women’s Association for Victims Empowerment (WAVE) in The Gambia, where she plays a pivotal role in supporting victims of human rights violations, particularly those affected by the regime of former president Yahya Jammeh. Recently, she has been vocal about the severe impact of the USAID funding suspension on the organization’s ability to assist exiled communities and promote social cohesion.
