Maddy Braat

Maddy Braat is a longtime resident of the 37th Street neighborhood in Austin, Texas, and one of the organizers of the annual pet election that culminated in the symbolic election of Mo Bamba as president. She initiated the pet election as a creative way to engage the community in local voting, and she noted the significant increase in voter participation resulting from the event.
