
Madeleine Renom
Madeleine Renom is a distinguished Uruguayan meteorologist, recognized as the first graduate in Meteorological Sciences from the University of the Republic. She furthered her studies at the University of Buenos Aires, where she earned a doctorate in Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences. Recently, she was in the news due to her appointment as the president of the Uruguayan Institute of Meteorology (Inumet), a designation met with concern from the National Meteorology Workers' Group (ATMN), which highlighted past issues affecting labor conditions during her previous term.
