Mafarama Sanogo

Mafarama Sanogo is the president of the organizing committee for the Rencontres cinématographiques de Sya (RECIS), an important film festival in Burkina Faso aimed at promoting Burkinabè and African cinema. She plays a pivotal role in advocating for the representation of cultural and educational values within African cinema. Under her leadership, the fourth edition of RECIS is set to take place from November 25 to 30, 2025, in Bobo-Dioulasso, focusing on the theme of endogenous values and knowledge in cinema.
