Magoņs

Magoņs is a notable figure in Latvia, recently involved in a high-profile corruption trial concerning allegations of bribery related to locomotive purchases for a subsidiary of the state-owned railway company, Latvijas dzelzceļš. The prosecution claimed that he facilitated a deal with businessman Osinovskis, accepting a bribe of nearly half a million euros to influence decisions favorably for Osinovskis' interests with Russian Railways.
