Magyari Enikő

Magyari Enikő is a professor and the director of the Institute of Geography and Geology, known for her extensive research on the geological history of Lake Balaton. Her work has significantly contributed to understanding the lake's formation and its environmental changes, particularly in light of climate change. Under her leadership, researchers have conducted groundbreaking studies, including the extraction of a 4.5-meter sediment core from the lake, which has provided insights into the region's climatic history over the past 16,000 years.
