Mahawat
Mahawat, also known as Sarpanch, is a 48-year-old man who was lynched in Hardoi district, Uttar Pradesh, after being targeted by the sons of Rampal, the man he murdered 15 years earlier. Released from prison after serving a life sentence for the murder of Rampal, Mahawat's violent past caught up with him when he was confronted by a mob seeking revenge for his earlier crime.
