Mahdi al-Badri

Mahdi al-Badri is a father of five from Babil province in Iraq, whose life and livelihood have been severely impacted by water scarcity and drought. As a farmer, he lamented the loss of his ancestral profession due to drying rivers and insufficient water for irrigation, forcing him and his family to seek alternative employment in construction and government jobs as they navigate the challenges posed by climate change.
