
Mahmoud El Khatib
Mahmoud El Khatib is a former Egyptian footballer and current president of Al Ahly SC, one of Africa's most successful and popular football clubs. Widely regarded as one of the greatest Egyptian players of all time, El Khatib earned the nickname 'Kahraba' for his electrifying playing style and exceptional skills on the pitch. He played as a forward and was known for his goal-scoring ability, notably during his time with the Egyptian national team and Al Ahly during the late 1970s and 1980s. After retiring from professional play, he transitioned into sports administration and was elected president of Al Ahly in 2017, where he has continued to influence Egyptian football significantly.
