Mahmud I

Mahmud I was the Sultan of the Ottoman Empire from 1730 until his death in 1754. He is known for his efforts to modernize the empire and for his military campaigns. Under his reign, the empire faced various challenges, including wars and internal strife, but he also initiated several reforms in the administrative and military sectors.
