Mai Thị Châu, known professionally as Mai Châu, was a renowned Vietnamese actress celebrated for her significant contributions to the country's cinema. Born into a wealthy family in Nghệ An, she chose to follow a path of activism and art, becoming one of the first actresses to emerge from the battlefield performing arts in Vietnam. Throughout her illustrious career, she starred in numerous iconic films, including 'Chị Dậu' and 'Làng Vũ Đại ngày ấy', and earned the title of People's Artist in 1996. Mai Châu passed away at the age of 98, leaving behind a legacy of resilience and artistic excellence.
