Mak Sai Ying

Mak Sai Ying is recognized as the first known Chinese immigrant to Australia, arriving in Sydney in 1818. He made significant contributions to the local community, particularly through his establishment of The Golden Lion Hotel in Parramatta, which served as an important social hub.
