Makhzan Mahyuddin

Datuk Makhzan Mahyuddin is the Deputy Secretary-General (Policy and Control) of the Ministry of Home Affairs in Malaysia. He has been actively involved in addressing the longstanding congestion issues at the Johor Causeway, implementing various initiatives since 2019 to reduce travel time and improve the flow of traffic, especially during peak hours. His recent efforts aim to decrease congestion by up to 70% as part of preparations for the Visit Malaysia Year 2026. Makhzan has reported significant progress, with over half of the planned initiatives already completed, enhancing the overall efficiency of the customs and immigration processes at the complex.
