Maksim Zesyulchik

Maksim Zesyulchik is a Belarusian national who was previously employed by the KGB and later fought as a mercenary for the Russian military in the conflict in Ukraine. He was captured by Ukrainian forces in September 2022 and subsequently sentenced to 10 years in prison by a Ukrainian court for mercenary activities. Zesyulchik's involvement in the war and his role as a KGB operative have drawn attention, especially following his return to Belarus, where he was later detained and faced legal proceedings for his actions during the conflict.
