Manolis Menegakis

Manolis Menegakis is the mayor of Agios Nikolaos, a town in Crete, Greece. Recently, he has been in the news for his proactive measures following a 6.1 magnitude earthquake that struck off the northern coast of Crete. He communicated with the president of the Organization for Anti-Seismic Planning and Protection and local school directors to ensure safety checks were conducted in schools and to reassure the community.
