Manoocher Deghati

Manoocher Deghati is an Iranian photojournalist and a two-time winner of the World Press Photo award. Exiled since 1985, he currently resides in Puglia, Italy, where he has dedicated his life to documenting the horrors of war and the processes of peace across various conflict zones, including the Middle East and Central America. His work emphasizes not only the brutality of warfare but also the human stories behind peace agreements. Deghati's recent exhibition, 'Eyewitness: Wars and Peace', showcases his powerful images from battlefields around the world, reflecting his commitment to advocating for peace and raising awareness about the consequences of conflict.
