Manuel Antonio Rivas
Manuel Antonio Rivas was a Dominican politician and former director of the Oficina Metropolitana de Servicios de Autobuses (OMSA). He was a prominent member of the Partido de la Liberación Dominicana (PLD) and served as its president in Santo Domingo Oeste. Rivas had aspirations to become mayor of the area but faced multiple electoral setbacks. He was appointed as the director of OMSA in 2012, a position he held until he became embroiled in a high-profile case related to the death of attorney Yuniol Ramírez. Following legal proceedings, he was exonerated of criminal responsibility in 2022.
