Manuel de Jesús Tatis

Manuel de Jesús Tatis is a talented percussionist and the director of the renowned orchestra of Rubby Pérez. He shared a deep, nearly 40-year friendship with Pérez, which began during a recording session for a merengue track. Tatis vividly recalls their first encounter and describes their bond as an unexplainable connection. Following the tragic collapse at the Jet Set nightclub in April 2025, which claimed the lives of Pérez and many others, Tatis has been grappling with grief and trauma, reflecting on the profound loss and the moments they shared throughout their musical journey.
